Welcome to the Dominican Republic

updated - March 20, 2012

The Dominican Republic covers two thirds of the second largest island in the Caribbean - Hispaniola. With about 1,000 miles of coastline, and an interior that is mountainous, the Dominican Republic offers a wealth of excursions for vacationers.

Over the past decade, the Dominican Republic (DR) has become more and more popular as development on the island has created more and more resorts and hotels found appealing to travelers. This popularity is also driven by the relatively inexpensive vacation packages that are being offered.
